Although this production was quite expected, as it consists of Chinese-Japanese collaboration, quite unusual in my opinion, I must say that this anime was disappointing.
At first the anime is intense, however, I must emphasize that this beginning was quite empty, at no time was explained why in the first chapter the characters were stealing a bank, in addition, the plot is developing quite a bit generic and stereotyped throughout all the chapters.
On the other hand, it has good graphic quality, the design of the characters is eye-catching and some scenes and stories are excellent, but I can not highlight anything, it does not exceed being a fairly average anime, it may please some people, however this was not my case.
As for the story is based on a group of vampires of the modern era who try to rob a bank, well they might have needs to buy more blood reserves or who knows, but the truth is that a group of 4 young teenagers , Belonging to a class of vampires called Bloodivores are involved in this situation, unfortunately despite having an almost perfect plan, unexpected factors are presented and end in a compromising situation that frustrates the plan, the protagonist who has the name Mi Ryu tries Escape with the nice girl of the group on a porch but the escape fails and end the four arrested, for the charge of attempted robbery and murder of 15 people, is from here where begins to develop the suspense of the series.
This is a relatively generic series, both in its history, plot, development and above all in the characters that are usually linked to the classic cliché, the graphic quality I do not think is so bad and the musical section is acceptable.
If you are one of those who love vampire anime, the emotion and a touch of drama you may like this anime that despite having a low budget allocated for its development can get to like the followers.
In my opinion this series takes elements that COULD be interesting and then ignores what MAKES them interesting.
Magic holographic computer that has info about where the characters are? Used twice. Only used the second time to ham-fist the ending into place.
Bomb collars that detonate if you kill another person but give you one more day to live if you kill a monster? Never really touched on.
The MC's trying to save the orphanage they grew up in by robbing a bank? The orphanage has been closed for a while now and the director died. But whatever.
The prison is a destroyed city displaced in time? MC figures that out in the first day. Also; No explanation why.
Vampires? Lets make them less interesting than Twilight's vampires!
The quality of the animation is fine, I suppose. Its pretty much what you'd expect from an anime from the 2010's + time. There are moments when it seems the animation is 'off', like they could just get the animation to match the scene properly.
In the end, do not watch this anime. Just, do not. Save yourself the time and watch something that's worth it. I hope and pray this anime dies in with the first season.
Bloodivores is a series of Action, Supernatural, Vampire. For me, Bloodivores is the most magnificent dumpster fire of the season. There is plenty on this season that is not great and boring, but this is at least the courtesy of being actively interesting in its seemingly utter ineptitude. In brief:
Incomprehensible? As of 7 episodes I find myself unable to tell if there is an overarching plot or if it is just a series of beige set pieces that the characters wander between because that is where the script says they are.
Characters have 0 Development, unlikable personalities, bland design, little to no explanation of backgrounds or motivations. It's almost like they skipped this part and were just like "mmm you figure it out."
A whole bunch. If something is going to fail, it should fail as explosively as this show seems to be doing. I found myself both completely perplexed and thoroughly charmed by the idea that this show got both funded and made. It's like watching a small child fall on its face: it's horrible, and you feel terrible about yourself after, but if it's not entertaining as hell.
Bloodivores appeared in the beginning as an anime that would have excellent elements and an enriched plot full of action scenes. The anime has the common element of vampires and in my opinion basic elements of other stories of its kind and although it had an excellent chapter one worthy of attention, the problem came later. At first it seemed like an interesting story that could be survival in a prison (what could I remember?), But it became a kind of survivor with monsters with fairly common elements and in my opinion blatantly plagiarized. As if this were not enough, the worst mistake of this anime lies in their errors of animation, the proportion of the characters was a complete disappointment.
In short it could be an excellent anime that was destroyed by its fatal errors in almost all aspects.
Let's see how we could classify this series ... well it's an anime where we can hit so much with robberies of banks, vampires, excitement and fanservice, an anime realized with the naked eye with a low production budget and that does not have many good points in its favor in what With respect to the technical part. If you ask me for reasons to see this anime, it would really cost me to respond because it is not usually my preference, but not everything is bad, has its good details that touches discover as you go, if you are the ones who love Anime of vampires, emotion and a touch of drama you may like this anime that despite having a low budget allocated for its development can come to like followers.
