Blassreiter is for my concept an excellent anime, although it has quite current elements, represents for me one of the most successful productions that Gonzo has had these days. Blassreiter has elements that make his plot quite complex, flashy and full of much complexity, with a serious plot and rather satirical elements of an unequal society. On the other hand, the genres of this anime are well worked, since not everything is drama and history, the action that takes place in each of the arches is splendid, along with incredible animation and highly charismatic characters.
It is possible that it is not a great caliber anime like others have been, but undoubtedly this anime is incredible and has all elements a total success.
The main of his story is to show the struggle of the lower class against the rich, in a fictional Germany that mixes old and modern things. The strong racism that exists in people with a lot of money and their contempt for the poor is very well reflected in this work, in which each character has its tragic past. Joseph, the hero of the anime, is the character who suffered a lot of his humble childhood and saw horrible things in modern society and there are other characters that have run with the same "luck". In this anime it is common to see the classic bribes from rich to poor so that they do not betray the corrupt, see die by suicide a boy who lives very badly economically, and things like that.
Blassreiter is not pure drama, since the true action of the series relies on the fighting of the characters that can transform into a kind of robotic demon to face thousands of evil creatures called "Demoniacs". These creatures can fuse with mechanical objects and increase their powers, but if they kill someone, the victim will relive and become one of them. The series has an excellent quality and was a great success, being in those series that in 24 chapters are enough to leave us satisfied.
Blassreiter is a series of Action, Sci-Fi. Elements of contemporary anime are clearly shown in this series as extensive use of CGI, futuristic setting focusing on technological advances and moral / ethical consequences arising from it degrading humanity in process. This could be summarized as the main theme of the series around which plot revolves. Classical motives of redemption, friendship, duty, loyalty and love are also present in the plot driving character actions in certain way or other.
Story in short revolves around nanomachine virus spreading across Germany infecting humans which after infection become Demoniacs-demon like creatures stripped of humanity. Although premise is not new or epochal it is executed great with many twists and turns keeping tension high. Only a few anime could do that "I must watch next episode ... NOW!" Feeling Melancholy, dramatic, painful and tragic elements are indeed intensive spicing things up and stirring viewers emotions. Great!
Blassreiter is a very good anime series. It presents a completely different scheme to the present one related to the anime. It shows a different Germany to the present, with elements of fantasy but with social elements quite complex and interesting where all the characteristics are well defined between low class and upper class.
This anime has moments of drama and action excellent as it also consists of the struggle to survive from some demonic creatures that join their army to all the people who die.
The audiovisual features of this anime are incredible. The animation companies that participated in this project did an excellent job: completely delicate and striking.
It's definitely an excellent anime. Filled with intense action and moments of drama, it is also a different option than what exists today.
The anime seriously is great It has 24 eps and its first opening I like the way they die are great has excellent subject and very good graphics and sounds I recommend this anime for people who like the horror demons, monsters and epic battles.
